About The Julian Ahabwe Heart Foundation
The Julian Ahabwe Heart Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to combating rheumatic heart disease, a preventable condition that threatens the lives of children in underserved communities. Inspired by Julian’s personal journey as a survivor of rheumatic heart disease and open-heart surgeries, our foundation exists to ensure that no child loses their life because of delayed diagnosis or lack of access to medical care. We are committed to transforming the landscape of cardiac health for vulnerable populations, particularly in Africa.
Our comprehensive approach focuses on education, prevention, advocacy, and support for families affected by rheumatic heart disease. We work tirelessly to raise awareness about this preventable condition, improve early diagnosis capabilities, and expand access to quality treatment and cardiac care. Through our initiatives, we empower communities with knowledge, provide critical medical support, and advocate for systemic change to ensure every child has the opportunity for a healthier future.
